Dear Christian woman,
I know that right now, you might be feeling anxious, lonely, or even doubtful about your future. It’s easy to wonder when or if you’ll ever meet the right person. But remember, God’s timing is perfect. He’s not just preparing your future partner for you; He’s also preparing you for him.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Psalm 27:14
This waiting period is not wasted time. Even though your sisters and friends are getting married and it may feel like no one wants to marry you, this season of waiting is not wasted time. It’s a time of growth, learning, and transformation. While you’re waiting, while you’re in the middle God is shaping your character, building your faith, and preparing your heart for the relationship He has planned for you, for the Kingdom marriage He has designed for you.
During this waiting season, focus on becoming the best version of yourself. Dive deep into your relationship with God. Allow Him to heal any past wounds from your childhood and from previous relationships. Let the Word of God become your best friend. Renew your mind as you meditate on His Word. Allow God’s love to fill your heart as you draw nearer to Him. When you prioritize your relationship with God, you’re equipping yourself to discern the right man that God has for you and you’re laying a solid foundation for your future relationship.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust that God knows what He’s doing. His plans for you are good, and He’s working everything out for your benefit.
It’s human to have moments of doubt or impatience, especially when everyone around you seems to be chosen and getting married except you. Nevertheless, remember that God is in control and that He wants what is best for you. He sees the bigger picture. He knows the desires of your heart, and He’s orchestrating everything perfectly. Every experience, every lesson, and every moment of waiting is part of His divine preparation.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
Hold on to this promise. Your waiting is purposeful, your growth is meaningful, and your future is bright.
So take heart, be patient, and trust in God’s perfect timing. He is preparing you for the man He has for you. Keep growing, keep praying, and keep believing. When the time is right, everything will fall into place.
Let me pray for you
Dear God, I pray for my sister in Christ who’s watching this right now. Fill her with the knowledge of your love for her. Help her to realise that even before any man chooses her, You have chosen her and You love her. Help her to realise that you’re preparing her for an amazing Kingdom marriage for Your glory. In Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen
